Wow! It feels like forever since my last blog post.. But, I am back and really excited to write and share this post with you. My last trip (September 2019) was very exciting for many reasons. To start, Nick's birthday was during the trip, we were staying at the Polynesian (his favorite), and we did the "four parks one day challenge"... definitely an eventful trip!
Nick & I weren't exactly sure of the "rules" of the challenge, so we kind of made up our own. We decided to do at least one ride, one picture, and one snack at each park before moving on to the next park. We did this challenge on the last full day of our trip, which also happened to be Nick's 24th birthday!
To summarize the challenge:
We started our day around 9 am at Magic Kingdom where we:
ate a breakfast waffle sandwich at Sleepy Hollow
bought a customized "4 parks 1 day" pin from Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
grabbed fast passes for Space Mountain & Buzz Lightyear
took some pictures in front of the castle
Then we took the Monorail over to Epcot. While we were there, we:
took some pictures in front of Spaceship Earth
grabbed a fast pass for Test Track
ate some tasty treats at the Food & Wine Festival
After enjoying the festival for a bit, we took the boat over to Hollywood Studios. For those of you who do not know, the boat is in the back of World Showcase.
While at Hollywood Studios, we:
took some pictures in front of Tower of Terror (even though I am too scared to ride it)
grabbed a fast pass for Rock 'n' Rollercoaster
ate totchos in Toy Story Land
At this point, it is around noon & although we had snacks, Nick & I were very hungry for lunch. We took the bus over to Animal Kingdom, our last park of the day, where we:
grabbed a last minute fast pass for Expedition Everest
ate lunch at Satu'li Canteen (our favorite quick service)
and of course, took some pictures!
Some tips for 4 parks 1 day:
Utilize extra magic hours if you are staying on property
Use the monorail and boat when possible, and the bus/uber when needed, driving & parking may end up taking too much time
FAST PASSES! Use fast passes for the rides, do not wait stand by, it will waste too much time. Keep refreshing the app, even while you are walking around the park, and usually a last minute fast pass appears.
Since it was Nick's birthday, our last full day, & we woke up kinda early all trip, we decided to start our day at 9 am instead of extra magic hours in the morning. We kind of rushed through the challenge and finished it by 2 pm, where it usually takes people ALL day. Also, we had dinner reservations that night at STK in Disney Springs, so we wanted to have time to go back to the hotel and nap before dinner. (I guess you can say we did 5 parks 1 day, since we also went to Disney Springs- haha).
However you decide to tackle the 4 parks 1 day challenge, just remember to HAVE FUN. In the end, it doesn't matter if you didn't have a snack or see a show at every park, or if you didn't get that perfect picture, the experience is what matters most. It is so fun and memorable to explore all 4 parks in 1 day, and it is definitely not an experience you would do often!
So, tell me, have you ever done the 4 parks 1 day challenge? Let me know!
Thanks for reading!
XO
